Newborn photos at home

I know its a cliche, but they really don’t stay small for long.

TRUST ME.

An in-home family shoot allows you to press pause on all of those small, precious moments and connections - how tiny they look in Dad's arms, their tight grip around your finger, their mesmerising stare into your eyes as they feed. These sessions allow you to preserve these moments forever so that in years to come, your child can see all of these memories frozen in time with YOU there with them.

“Thank you so much for such beautiful images. I adore your style. It was so nice to be on the other side of the camera and capture images to cherish” — Abby

What should I wear?

This is one of the most asked questions! Once you book your newborn photoshoot, I will send you over my style guide with hints, tips and inspiration to help you decide what to wear. Soft neutral colours photograph really well but my main advice is to wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident. This will shine through in your photographs!

How old should my baby be?

Unlike traditional studio newborn photography, there is no specific ‘window’ that we need to stick to. It is all about YOU! If you want to document how tiny they are and get those sleepy photographs the first couple of weeks is probably best. Likewise, if you want more time to settle into your new family life then we can do that too…we might even catch a little smile! Each stage is completely gorgeous and special in its own way. If you’re not sure, I tend to suggest popping in a date for around 10 days after your due date and then once your little one is here, we can see if that would still work for you or if you would need to push it back or pull it forwards at all.

How long are sessions?

A newborn photoshoot at home usually lasts around two hours. A good balance of not feeling rushed whilst not infringing on your previous newborn time. There’s plenty of time for feeds, nappy changes and documenting all of the tiny details.

When should I book a newborn shoot?

Get in touch any time from your 20 week scan and we can chat about roughly when you think you would like your session. Once your little one arrives, we’ll touch base and see if that date would still work or whether we need to move the session to an alternative date.

When do I pay for the session?

To secure your session, a £50 depoit is paid on booking. The remaining balance for the photoshoot is paid on the day of your session.

Do you travel?

Yes absolutely! I’m based in Rugby, Warwickshire but am more than happy to travel. An additional 40p per mile would be charged for locations 20 miles outside of Rugby.
